So that he knows how is he performing? How is he learning the new subject?
If he passes the exam, he goes to a higher level – class VI & so on. The student knows that he has to be in college in the next 7 years.
Similarly in yogic path, after completing every level, you get new powers/divine blessings/divine boons. You take the blessing and just move on to the next level.
The path of power is difficult. It may even be painful & so are exams in general. If its not difficult, what’s point?
You may have to sacrifice things here and there but it has definite results. And yes the path is shorter. In other paths, student may have to take many births wherein the yogic path can help you reach the final destiny within a lifetime.
The only thing student has to keep in mind during his learning path is that he doesn’t have to attach to his marks-ranking in class or powers for yogic students and focus on the next level. It is possible that once you get these powers, you may be entrapped within the net of ego. You may become so much attached to these powers that you ultimately forget that it is not the final destiny but just a milestone.
But one who takes the boons, the powers, accepts it but at the same time accepts the fact that this is just a milestone – just another level & doesn’t entrap himself in ego, will WALK faster towards his GOAL. To help him keep moving towards his goal, he will be free from diseases. He will be gifted with a perfect body & mind.
Following other paths like Bhakti Marg (Path of Devotion) and Jyanya Marg (Path of Knowledge) can be compared to a student in a jungle with all the books but no idea about the levels or the school or the results. If he is determined, he may get all knowledge from the books but that’s not a method for the masses as for most of the people it may take many births to attain enlightenment.
Do I want to say that enlightenment (within a lifetime) only occurs to those who are on the yogic path?
The answer is NO. It can occur to you within few moments, a day or may take even a lifetime but isn’t it always good to have STEPS to attain something which makes it easier for our minds to comprehend. Plus it gives a perfect body, mind & soul which makes it a choice for the masses.
There you go on the yogic path!
